Courtney's passion for estate planning started when she was 5-years-old, although she didn't know it at that time. She had a sister pass away at birth, and it brought up a lot of questions about death in her family. Courtney felt at peace after her parents explained about their will and what would happen should anything happen to them. She wants to help bring this peace of mind to other families.
Courtney graduated from the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law with honors in 2010. During law school, she also worked for the Senior Lawyer Volunteer Project at Utah Legal Services and she did an externship with Honorable Judge William Thorne on the Utah Court of Appeals.
Before law school, Courtney worked as an award-winning journalist. She received her undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University in Communications and for a time hosted a news program called Today at BYU on Classical 89 radio.
When not working, Courtney enjoys spending time with her husband Greg and their four children. She likes to kayak, read, play games, and enjoy the sunshine.
